Rough Skies 10 Year Anniversary Exhibition
Salamanca Arts Centre, 7–23 November

Over the last ten years, Rough Skies has established itself as an independent record label dedicated to the Tasmanian music and arts community. Rough Skies will take up residence in Salamanca Arts Centre with an exhibition of album and video art from releases spanning 2009-2019. The three week project will include live performances, workshops and artist talks. 

The 2019 Small Press Zine Fair
State Library of Tasmania, Saturday 16 November, 10am

DIY publishers, homemade magazines, photocopied poetry, homespun stories, photos stapled together, drawing booklets, comics, ZINES CAN BE ANYTHING! The 2019 Small Press Zine Fair (number 7) will be held in the State Library because zines are literature (obviously!)

Paint Jam
Bidencopes Lane, Saturday 16 November, 9am - 8pm

Vibrance are holding a Paint Jam on Saturday November 16 in collaboration with HOBIENNALE and Digi Youth Arts. The Paint Jam will open up normally inaccessible walls in Bidencopes Lane for artists to paint, and include a bar and hang out area for participants and audiences.

Fem Fest 2019
Shambles Brewery & Cinema One, Friday 15 & Saturday 16 November

Fem Fest is a community arts & culture festival celebrating people who experience gender oppression in nipaluna/Hobart. Fem Fest Tas aims to bring people together and provide creative spaces which platform and celebrate these local artists, performers, community groups and members over a weekend. Through film, spoken word, fashion, art, markets, panels and live music events.


Moonah Community Radio by Sisters Akousmatica 
Moonah Arts Centre, 21 November - 14 December

Moonah Community Radio is a temporary community radio station at Moonah Arts Centre, produced by radio queens Sisters Akousmatica. The four-week radio transmission will broadcast new radio art commissions, live and pre-recorded community content and selections from an international open call. Transmitting from their custom broadcast ute, Moonah Community Radio will be a hub of activity on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
